Charles Adrian Pennock, 93, retired president and chairman of the board of Richard Hudnut, the cosmetics division of Warner-Lambert Co., died Wednesday at Good Samaritan Hospital, West Palm Beach, Fla.
Mr. Pennock, whose family was from Coatesville, was a 1915 graduate of Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science. He spent his entire professional career, spanning a half-century, employed by Warner-Lambert.
He was a pioneer in the cosmetics and toiletry industry, and he was the creator of the DuBarry line of cosmetics. He was a past president of the Toilet Goods Association, and was a member of the Metropolitan Club of New York; the Westchester Country Club, of Rye, N.Y.; the Winged Foot Country Club, Mamaroneck, N.Y., and the Everglades Club and Beach Club in Palm Beach.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Connolly Pennock; a son, Charles A. Pennock Jr.; a daughter, Mrs. Robert F. Collier, and two grandsons.
Services will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow at Robert A. Harris Funeral Home, 1030 E. Lincoln Highway, Coatesville. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, Coatesville.
