Obituary: December 7, 1929 Mrs. Eleanor B. Baker
Mrs. Eleanor Broomell Baker, wife of Enos C. Baker, died at her home in Doe Run at 12:15 this morning following an illness of some time. Her death was due to a complication. She was in her 82nd year. Mrs. Baker was a daughter of the late Joshua and Martha B. Broomell and was born at McWilliamstown, near Hephzibah, and she had been a member of the Hephzibah Baptist church since girlhood. She is survived by her husband, a brother - George Broomell of Los Angeles Ca, a sister, Mrs. Thomas Steen of Youngsburg, and the following children. Joel, of Rokeby, Enos C. Jr.of Coatesville, Mrs Virginia Warren of Modena, Mrs.Sue Baker and Mrs. Rae Humpton of Thorndale, and Miss Lousie and Miss Eleanor, at home. She also has fourteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren. The funeral will take place on Thursday afternoon with services at the Hephzibah Baptist Church at 2 o'clock. Interment will be made in Hephzibah cemetery.
