Notes for Joshua Howard Jr. THOMPSON

J. Howard Thompson, Jr. passed away on February 1, 1999 after a brief illness. He was born on April 30, 1903 in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, the son of J. Howard Thompson and Hanna Richards Thompson. He owned and operated Thompson Roses, Inc. of Kennett Square for many years. Mr. Thompson was also one of the primary figures in the first twenty-five years of Lost Tree Village in North Palm Beach, Florida.

He is survived by: his wife Jytte Kolte Thompson; two sisters, Edith T. Cauffman of Kennett Square and Elizabeth Van Hart of Winter Haven, FL; his daughter, Mary C. Harper of Naples, FL; two grandchildren, Shirley E. McMackin of Naples, FL and J. Howard T. Simonton of Brownfield, ME; and by three great-grandchildren.
