Notes for Alexander Wilson WISTER
Enlisted in Company G, Pennsylvania Militia, Capt. Marks Biddle, in Eighth Pennsylvania Militia (Emergency) Regiment, in 1862, and saw service in the Antietam campaign. He is a member of Historical Society of Pennsylvania; Society of Colonial Wars; Pennsylvania Society Sons of the Revolution; The Welcome Society, Philadelphia Club, and Germantown Cricket Club, being one of the fifteen boys who organized the latter club, 1854.
