Notes for Ann Whitney FRISHMUTH

HULETT, Ann Ann F. Hulett, age 89, of Goose Creek, SC, widow of Clifford Jackson Gay M.D. and Gurvis C. Hulett (Retired Navy), passed away on Monday, January 9, 2006, at a local hospital. Graveside services will be held on Friday, January 13, 2006, at 12 noon in Carolina Memorial Park, 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, S.C. 29406. A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2006, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home. Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Hughes and her husband George of Goose Creek, SC, Cherie Jeffrey and Steve Mosley of Goose Creek, SC, two sons, Jack Hulett and his wife Helga of Chapin, SC, John Hulett and his wife Joyce of Cross, SC, and step-sister, Cookie Clark of Monticello, FL. Also included are grandchildren, Whitney, Gabrielle, John Michael, Ray, Kim, Carol, Sabina, Angel, great-grandchildren; Heather, Meghan, Dustin, Holden, Alex, Robert, Breanna, Sidney, Ryan, Wesley, Kara, John, Coleman, May Ann, and Caroline, and pets Tweety, Shem, and Smokie. She will also be missed by dear friends. Predeceased by husbands, Clifford Jackson Gay M.D. and Gurvis C. Hulett (Retired Navy.) Mrs. Hulett was born on December 17, 1916, in Riverton, New Jersey, she was the daughter of John Coffin Frushmuth, Jr., and May Butler Oberteuffer Frishmuth. She was raised in Philadelphia, lived many years at the Casa Bianca Plantation in Monticello, Florida, then moved to Charleston in the 1960's. Mrs. Hulett was a Licensed Practicing Nurse with the Medical University of South Carolina and also practiced in Florida. She was Baptist in Faith. Mrs. Hulett was really proud of her heritage. She was a descendant of Philadelphian Patriot Owen Biddle (1737-1799), provincial congressman and member of the Constitutional Convention. He was also President of the Board of War under George Washington. Mrs. Hulett was also a descendant of Clement Biddle (1740-1814), 1st Marshall of Pennsylvania.
