Notes for Jesse Ross III KIRK

Jesse R. Kirk III, 62, a lifelong resident of Oxford, passed away suddenly at his home on Thursday, Oct. 7, 2010.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Kathleen Maule Kirk.
Jesse was the son of the late Jesse R. and Jean T. Kirk II.
Jesse was a graduate of Oxford Area High School and LaSalle Law School. He was an Eagle Scout and served as an Oxford Boy Scout Troop leader for many years. Jesse had been a past president and member of the Oxford Lions Club. He also served with the Oxford Fire Company.
Jesse worked for the Chester County Parks and Recreation Department for 39 years at both Nottingham County Park and Springton Manor Farm. He worked at his family owned business, Frank's Steak House, in Oxford and served as Elk Township's Police Chief and as an Oxford Police Officer in the 1970s.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Tiffany N. Kirk, at home; a son, Steven G. Kirk and wife, Valerie of Nottingham; a daughter, Christine McCoury and husband, Eric of Nottingham. He is survived by his pride and joys, grandchildren, Preston A. and Taylor M. Kirk. He is also survived by his sister, Stacey Zurlo and her husband, William of Sarasota, Fla.
A memorial service was held on Wednesday, Oct., 13, at the Edward L. Collins Funeral Home, Inc., 86 Pine Street, Oxford.
Interment was private.
