Notes for Samuel LEVIS

Delaware Co Wills, 1789-1834


LEVIS, SAMUEL, Springfield.
August 22, 1793 - November 25, 1794.
Provides for wife Mary as follows: sons Samuel, William and Joseph to
pay certain sums from profits of plantation in Upper Darby purchased of
James SPRAY. To son Samuel, tract on southwest side of Darby Creek
adjoining Nathan DAVIS'S land and Isaac LOBB'S land containing 118
acres of mill property also meadow land on Calcon Hook purchased of
Peter and George MATSON. Son William 80 acres on north side of Darby
Creek purchased of father Samuel LEVIS, land on Tinicum Island
purchased of John MORTON, and on west side of Darby Creek. Son Joseph
the upper and western division of the plantation. Daughter Elizabeth,
plantation where Joseph now dwells bought of Jesse MARIS and conveyed
to me by John HALL. To grandson Samuel GARRETT land purchased of James
SPRAY - mentions children: Isaac, Hannah, Mary, Joshua, John, Elizabeth
and Martha, the wife of James HUNTER, son William to have residue of
estate. Exrs: Sons Samuel and William LEVIS.
