Notes for David W. HILTON

1848 he and his father came to Michigan and bought 200 acres in Walker, in sec. 6. They settled on it and began the work of clearing and improving. Mr. Hilton had but little means to start in life with, but by industry, economy and close attention to business, he acquired a nice property. He is consequently one of the solid, influential pioneers of Kent county. He is a member of the Masonic fraternity; in religion he is liberal, and in politics Republican.
