Notes for Hezekiah NILES

Hezekiah Niles was a Quaker, "William Cox and Hezekiah Niles being convinced of the Principles of Truth, ... Friends may safely admit of their request. They are at liberty to attend our next Meeting." 28th of 3rd month, 1766. XII Pennsylvania Genealogical Magazine at page 36. "Hezekiah Niles to Wilmington, on account of marriage." 30th of 5th month, 1766, Id. at 210. Applications were made for the following certificates: Hezekiah Niles to Wilmongton." 30th of 10th month, 1767, Id. at 217. I have not yet found the exact date of his death, but the announcement of his death was published in the Delaware Gazette, Wilmington, October 8, 1791. The article states that he was struck on the head by a falling signpost and killed instantly as he came out of the doorway of his Market Street carpentry shop.
