Notes for Ellis Goldsmith CHANDLEE

Cecil Whip of January 22, 1870. “Sudden Death. – Mr. Ellis G. Chandlee, the present County Surveyor, a well-known and most estimable and worthy citizen, residing at the Brick Meeting House, in this county, was found dead in his bed on Friday morning, 21st inst. Mr. Chandlee retired at night in his usual good health. He had been away from home the day previous to his death, on business. The cause of his death is supposed to be heart disease.”
