Notes for George Ireland III WRIGHT

George I. Wright, III, originally of the Philadelphia area in Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2018 at Treasure Health Hospice in Stuart, FL at the age of 75.

George was born June 16, 1943 in Wynnewood, PA and attended Haverford Friends School, Radnor High School and graduated from Villanova University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics in 1966. George was a proud honorary member of the First Troop Philadelphia City Cavalry, member of Pennsylvania Society of the Sons of the Revolution and past Captain of the Color Guard, member of the St. Andrew’s Society, Stuart Yacht & Country Club and veteran of the Army National Guard. Throughout his life George piloted and co-owned a private plane, rode miles on BMW motorcycles, enjoyed the membership and leadership of the above organizations, and played croquet many times a week.

George is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Ann; his daughter, Jessica (Heath) of Clover, SC; his granddaughter, Sara; siblings Richard Wright, Elizabeth Hessler, Anne Hanke, and Steven Wright; and six nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 5150 SE Railway Ave., Stuart, FL 34997 on July 12 at 11 am.
