Notes for Dorothy ROBINSON
Dorothy "Dottie" Smedley, 94, of Guthriesville, PA, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2018 at the Tel Hai Retirement Community.
She was born and raised in Guthriesville, and was the daughter of the late H. Wilson Robinson and Edna Moore Robinson.
Dottie graduated from the Chester County Hospital School of Nursing in 1945. While as a student nurse, Dottie was a member of the U.S. Cadets Nurses Corp. Dottie was a great mother, friend, cook and gardener. Dottie enjoyed going to church and being with her family.
In addition to her parents, Dottie is preceded in death by her husband Clinton W. Smedley, grandchildren Michael C. Dawson and Jessica L. Smedley, brother Charles Robinson, and sister Josephine Krapf.
Dottie is survived and missed by her 4 children: Connie S. Dawson (Walter), Larry C. Smedley, DDS (Kathryn), Robert W. Smedley (Jacquelyn), and Gerald K. Smedley (Carol), 12 grandchildren, and 14 grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to Dottie's funeral services on Thursday, April 26, 2018, 11AM, at Hopewell United Methodist Church, 852 Hopewell Rd., Downingtown, PA 19335. Friends may visit preceding the service from 10-10:50AM. Burial will follow to church cemetery.
