Notes for Barbara SHEEHAN
Barbara Sheehan Welch, 86 of Downingtown passed away on Thursday January 11, 2018 at the Zerbe Sisters Nursing Facility in Narvon, she was the wife of Brookes C. Welch Sr. with whom she shared 69 years of marriage.
Born in Downingtown she was the daughter of the late Cornelius & Anna R. Moran Sheehan.
Early in her career, Barbara was an owner operator of a Bed & Breakfast Inn and Dress Shop in Philipsburg, Pa.. She was a devout catholic, loving wife, mother, sister, aunt & grandmother.
In addition to her husband, Barbara is survived by her children Charles Welch (Ann), Joseph Welch (Beth), Patrick Welch (Donna), John Welch, Brookes Welch Jr. (Karen), Bernadette Neal (Frank). Also survived by her siblings John Sheehan, Thomas Sheehan (Suzy) James Sheehan ( Shirley ) and her 19 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by her sisters Ann Bowman(Robert), Joan Sheehan(Everett Martin ) and brother Frederick Sheehan.
A Funeral mass for Barbara will be held on Wednesday January 17, 2018 at 11 am from St. Joseph Church 338 Manor Ave, Downingtown where friends may call from 9:30 to 10:45 am.
Interment St. Joseph Cemetery Downingtown
