Notes for Carrie Lorraine DOYLE
Carrie Lorraine Doyle Atkins, 77, of Media, died Feb. 13 at Naamans Creek Country Manor.
Born in Chester, she was the daughter of the late Steward and Mary Shannon Doyle. She lived in Upland for 16 years before moving to Media 30 years ago. She attended Chester schools.
Mrs. Atkins worked at Ewing and Thomas Textile, Aberfoil Textile and C.L. Meyers Textile.
She was a volunteer at Crozer-Chester Medical Center for more than 10 years. She also volunteered at the food bank at the Upland Baptist Church, where she was a member.
She was the widow of Norman W. Atkins, who died in 1982. Her grandson, D.J. Robinson also predeceased her.
Survivors: Sons, Norman S. Atkins of Linwood, William R. Atkins of Upland, Raymond E. Atkins of Phoenixville, Pa. daughters, Dee Robinson of Lewes, Del. sisters, Delores Boscola of Media, Ruth Riddle of Upland nine grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren.
Service: 11 a.m. Monday at the Upland Baptist Church, Third and Main streets, Upland, PA 19013.
Visitation: 10-11 a.m. Monday at the church.
Burial: Lawn Croft Cemetery.
