Ronald Leroy Harner, Sr. of Glenmoore Ronald Leroy Harner, Sr., 79, of Glenmoore, PA passed away on August 31, 2016 at Neighborhood Hospice in West Chester, PA. Born in Upper Uwchlan Twp., PA, Ronald was the beloved son of the late Leroy T. and Helen F. (Ortlip) Harner. He was a 1955 graduate of Downingtown Senior High School and served honorably in the US Army. He worked in maintenance for Shryock Brothers Paper Mill in Downingtown, PA. Ronald enjoyed hunting, bowling, fast-pitch softball, darts and trips to the family cabin at Hilltop Lodge. He was a member of the Patriotic Order of the Sons of America, Washington Camp # 298, and Hilltop Hunting Club. Ronald was the beloved husband of Jane (Arters) Harner; loving father of Mary Anna (Harner) Smalley Reese (Gordon L. Reese), Ron L. Harner, Jr. (Leigh A.); dear grandfather of Kyle P. Smalley (Cortnie) and Tyler M. Smalley (Addie); great-grandfather of Colton Hunter Smalley; and dear brother of Sarah Ward. Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation 11:00 AM-12:00 PM Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 43 W. Lancaster Ave, Downingtown, PA 19335, 610-269-3080 followed by his Funeral Service 12:00 noon. Interment East Nantmeal Baptist Cemetery.
