Notes for Barbara L. PYLE
Barbara L. Comer, age 85 of Millsboro, De formerly of Marshallton Heights, DE passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2016 at her daughter's home.
She was born in Newark, DE on November 14, 1930 daughter of the late Edward and Ethel (Buckingham) Pyle.
Barbara is a member of the Mill Creek Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, the Order of the Eastern Star Armstrong Lodge #26 in Newport, DE and enjoyed attending the Long Neck Cheer Center. She was well known for her "green thumb" and enjoyed playing bingo, making ceramics, taking photographs, and the children from her daughter's daycare.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William H. Comer in 2013 and 3 brothers, Edward, Wayne and Larry Pyle. Barbara is survived by 2 children, Beverly L. Moore and her husband, Michael B. of Millsboro, DE and William H. Comer, Jr. and his wife Ginny of Harrington, DE; 2 grandchildren, Abbigail D. Ludwig and her husband Greg of Baltimore, MD and Joshua L. Comer of Millsboro, DE. Barbara is also survived by 4 brothers, Richard Pyle and his wife Judy of Newark, DE, Ronnie Pyle of Elkton, MD, Kenny Pyle and his wife Debbie of Newark, DE and Bruce Pyle and his wife Jennifer of Elkton, MD and a sister, Lois Yoder of Newark, DE.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at the Long Neck Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 32013 Long Neck Rd., Millsboro, DE 19966. A visitation will also be held on Friday, July 15, 2016 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the chapel of Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Hwy., New Castle, DE, where the funeral service will begin at 11:00 am. Interment will be held in the adjoining cemetery.
