Notes for Charles W. Jr. NICKLE

Charles W. Nickle Jr., 70, of Boothwyn, a former Sun Oil Co. employee, died Dec. 3, at Crozer Chester Medical Center.

Born in Claymont, Del., Mr. Nickle lived in Boothwyn all of his life. He worked as a field machinist at Sun Oil Co. in Marcus Hook for 38 years.

Mr. Nickle was a member of the Penn Lodge No. 709, F&AM. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was an avid outdoorsman.

He was the brother of the late Eleanor Keithley.

Survivors: Wife of 48 years, Doris M. Jamison Nickle son Charles W. Nickle III of Boothwyn daughters, Doris Dickerson of Laurel, Del., Diane Smagala of Wilmington, Del. brother, Howard Nickle of Boothwyn sisters, Margaret Pierce of Boothwyn, Shirley Kessler and Carol Bradley, both from Millsboro, Del. 10 grandchildren.

Service: 11 a.m. Friday, Robert Moreland Funeral Home, Ninth and Main streets, Trainer. There will be a Masonic service by Penn Lodge No. 709 at 8 p.m. Thursday.

Visitation: 7-9 p.m. Thursday and 10-11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Burial: Lawn Croft Cemetery, Lower Chichester.
