Notes for Charles I. MILES

Charles I. Miles, 86 yrs., of Honey Brook, Pa., died Tuesday, March 20, 2007 at his home following a brief illness. He was born in Caln Township., Chester County, he was the son of the late Charles J. and LaDora (Supplee) Miles. He was the husband of Mildred D. (Dilworth) Miles, with whom he celebrated 65 years of marriage on October 9, 2006. Charles was a retired carpenter, who worked for the James A. Umble Construction Company of Honey Brook, Pa. He was a US Navy veteran of WWII serving in Hawaii. He was a member of the Honey Brook Presbyterian Church, American Legion Wawassan Post # 422, Howell Lodge # 405, F. and A. M. He, also, served a 12 year term on the Northwestern Chester County Municipal Authority. Charles enjoyed watching the Phillies play baseball, but cherished spending time with his family most of all. He is survived by 2 sons, Charles J. and his wife Suzanne Miles of Lansdale and Larry with his partner, G. Scott Cockerham of Exton; 2 sisters, Ruth Jackson of New Holland and Josephine Dentel of Honey Brook.. He was proud of his 4 grandchildren, C. Joseph and his wife Lisa , Christina and her husband Wayne Houck, Andrew and his wife Mary and Jennifer and her husband Michael Heinle. But his pride and joy were his 10 great-grandchildren:, Choddie and Thompson Miles, Nathan and Juliana Houck, Hannah, Lucy and Mildred Miles, and Emma, Jack and Andrew Heinle A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 31, 2007 at 11 AM from the Honey Brook Presbyterian Cemetery.
