James Everett Walls, III AGE: 67 • Middletown
James Everett Walls III, age 67, of Middletown, went home to be with The Lord on April 6, 2015 Surrounded by Family & Friends.
Jay was born April 2, 1948 to the late James Everett Walls Jr. & Alma Jourdan Walls. Jay grew up on Hoffecker St. in Middletown, graduating from Middletown High School in 1966 and from the University of Delaware in 1970. After graduation, Jay married his one true love, Judy McFarlin Walls in the summer of 1970.
Jay and Judy were proud members of Glasgow Church. Over the years, Jay could easily be spotted in church with his colorful jackets as an Usher. He was well known for his hearty laugh and a kind word to those who needed it. As a student of the Bible, Jay tried to live his life according to scripture through the power of the Spirit.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother in law T. M. "Hank" Henderson.
Jay is survived by his loving wife of 45 years Judy; his son, James Everett Walls IV and his wife Melissa, son Robert Jourdan Walls and his wife Kelly; The pride and joys of his life, his grandchildren, Danielle Julia, Cayden Jourdan, and James Everett Walls V, his older Sister Julia Walls Henderson.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday, April 12th at 5 pm at Glasgow Church, 2880 Summit Bridge Road, Bear, DE 19701. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 pm at the Church. Interment will be private.
