Notes for Robert Lewis BRINSFIELD

Robert L. Brinsfield Sr., 75, died April 19, 2012 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Swarthmore, he was the son of the late John L. and Mary Brinsfield. He was a resident of Norwood since 1966. Bob was employed as a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service working out of the Swarthmore Post Office for 37 years until his retirement.

He enjoyed fishing and boating on the Chesapeake Bay, and loved to take trips to Rock Hall, Md., with his family. He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Army during the Berlin Crisis. He was a member of V.F.W. Post 7213 in Norwood and was also a member of the American Legion in Rock Hall, Md.

He will be remembered as a man who was devoted to his family.

He was predeceased by his brothers, Bill, Floyd, Jack, and Richard.

Survivors: His wife of 53 years, Madeline Brinsfield; his sons, Robert Brinsfield Jr. and James Brinsfield; and his sisters, Ann Mason, Betty Fawcett, Peggy Devine, Alice Lotter and Patricia Foltz. Burial: Arlington Cemetery, Drexel Hill.
