Notes for Elizabeth PHILLIPS
Elizabeth Phillips Stewart, age 93, passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2015, at Troy Health and Rehabilitation. Mrs. Stewart was born in Wilmington, Delaware February 23, 1921 and lived there until moving to Troy, AL in 2004. She graduated from Goldey-Beacom Business School in Wilmington and later worked as a secretary and stenographer at Hercules Powder Company.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Perry George and Mabel Valentine Phillips; husband, Henry R. Stewart, Sr.; one brother and three sisters. She is survived by two sons, Henry R. Stewart, Jr. (Margaret) of Troy, Alabama and William P. Stewart (Donna) of Newark, Delaware; three grandchildren, Amber D'Andrea (Michael), William P. Stewart, Jr. (Jennifer), both of Delaware, and Beth Stewart of Florida; and five great-grandchildren.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of A+ at Troy Health and Rehabilitation for their loving care of Miss Elizabeth, and the kindness shown to the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in her honor to the American Cancer Society or any library of your choice.
A graveside memorial service will be held at Silverbrook Cemetery, Wilmington, Delaware on March 28, 2015 for her immediate family.
