Notes for Charles Atwood III BROOMELL
Charles A. Broomell III of Downingtown Charles A. Broomell, III, 72, of Downingtown, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2014, at St. Martha Manor in Downingtown. He was the beloved husband of Ann Broomell (nee Prostock), with whom he shared 49 years of marriage. Born in West Chester, he was the loving son of Mary C. Kay Broomell of Hickory House N.H., and the late Charles A. Broomell, Jr. He was a 1960 graduate of Downingtown High School and attended West Chester College. Mr. Broomell proudly served in the U.S. Army National Guard, and was employed by Pepperidge Farm for 32 years, retiring in 2005. He was a member of St. Joseph Church; and was an avid Downingtown High School sports fan, attending many of the school's athletic events. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandsons. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his daughters, Dana A. Tripp (Keith) of Catawissa, PA. and Jennifer L. Murray (David) of Downingtown; sister, Linda B. Draper of Downingtown; and grandchildren, Joshua and Shane Tripp, and Gunner Murray. His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 11th, at St. Joseph Church, 338 Manor Ave., Downingtown, PA 19335, where family and friends may call from 8:45 to 9:45 a.m. Interment will be in Northwood Cemetery, Downingtown.
