Notes for Harry Joseph Jr. CROSSON
Harry J. Crosson Jr. of Atlantic Beach, Fla., died Jan. 19, 2008. He was 89.
Born in Philadelphia, he was raised in Jenkintown, the son of the late Margaret and Harry Crosson Sr.
Mr. Crosson was a graduate of the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, Class of 1940. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the Pacific Theatre.
Mr. Crosson retired as director of industrial relations for Otis Elevator, a division of United Technologies Corp., and was a colonel in the U.S. Air Force Reserve.
He lived and raised his family in Summit, N.J., for 25 years and retired to Hilton Head, S.C., in 1980 and later to Atlantic Beach, Fla. in 1990.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Virginia Sharpless Crosson; a daughter, Constance (Morse) of Inverness, Calif.; a son, Harry J. Crosson III of Jacksonville, Fla.; a brother, William Crosson of Blue Bell; and sisters Margaret and Nancy Crosson of Jenkintown.
Interment was Jan. 22 at St. Theresa's Cemetery in Summit, N.J. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Feb. 9 at St. John's Catholic Church, Atlantic Beach, Fla.
