Anna M. Yerkes
Age 85, of West Grove, PA, passed on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at her home.
Born in Wurzburg, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Caroline Kamm Panzer.
She was the wife of the late Evan Y. Yerkes and was also preceded in death by her second husband, Cobern Peterson.
In 1978, she founded the Yerkes Insurance Agency in West Grove. The business is currently operated by her son, Michael Yerkes.
Anna was a member of the Avondale Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by one son, Michael Yerkes and his wife, Lori of West Grove; one daughter, Elizabeth Lauver and her husband, Kirk of State College; six grandchildren, Jennifer Crossan and her husband, Seth, Rachel Yerkes, Paul Yerkes and his wife, Emily, Joshua Yerkes, Susan Ruff and her husband, James, and Rebecca Lauver; and four great-grandchildren, Julia Katherine Ruff, James Benjamin Ruff, Amilia Crossan, and Audrey Crossan.
She was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Evan Chandler Ruff and sister, Caroline Panzer.
A memorial service will be held at 1 pm Saturday, May 25, 2013 at the Avondale Presbyterian Church, 420 Pennsylvania Ave. Avondale, PA.
Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Anna's name may be made to the Avon Grove Public Library, 117 Rosehill Ave., West Grove, PA 19390 or to the YMCA Building Campaign, 880 W. Baltimore Pk., West Grove, PA 19390.
