Margaret L. 'Peg' Paxson of Oxford Margaret L. "Peg" Paxson, 86, of Oxford, passed away on Wednesday March 20, 2013 at home with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of Norman Rea Paxson who passed away in 1997. Together they celebrated 45 years of marriage. Born in Claymont, Del., she was the daughter of the late James H and Violet McGarvey Lindsey, Sr. Peg was a homemaker, a Charter member of Ocklokonee Council #212 Degree of Pocahontas Oxford, Pa., a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Union Fire Company No. 1 Oxford, and a member of the First Baptist Church of Oxford. Peg is survived by her three children, Carol P. Grier, Pamela P. Beattie both of Oxford, and Barry H. Paxson of Nottingham; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; and a brother, James H. Lindsey, Jr. of Lincoln University. She was preceded in death by a sister and three brothers. Relatives and friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, March 22 and again from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 23, at the Ruffenach Family Funeral Home, 224 Penn Avenue, Oxford, PA 19363. Her funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in the Oxford cemetery.
