Notes for Mary RESSER
Mary Resser Comly
Mary, 96, died peacefully on October 16, 2014 at the Methodist Manor House in Seaford, Delaware where she had been a resident since 1989. She was the daughter of the late John P. and Mazie Stauffer Resser and was the last of her eight siblings. Mary was a 1937 graduate of Wm. Penn HS in York, PA and received her RN from Lancaster General Hospital School of Nursing, She and her late husband and two children moved to Wilmington, DE in 1950. Mary was an active member of McCabe UMC and its Melson Fellowship Class. She taught Sunday School for many years and was active in the WSCS at the church, the Peninsula Conference and the Northeast Jurisdiction of the UMC. Mary was preceded in death by her husband Richard D. Comly, Sr. and her daughter Mary Frances Comly. She is survived by her son Richard D. Comly, Jr. and his wife Diana, 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Interment service will be at the Comly family plot at the Greenwood Cemetery in Lancaster, PA. on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at 1pm. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Mary's memory to the Methodist Manor House, 1001 Middleford Road, Seaford, DE 19973
