Notes for John Langley HICKS
John L. "Jack" Hicks, 62, the owner of Meadow Springs Farm in Kennett Square, died last Sunday at his Kennett Square home.
Mr. Hicks was born in the Sugartown section of Willistown and grew up in London Grove. He was a 1943 graduate of Unionville High School.
For the last 42 years, Mr. Hicks owned and operated Meadow Springs Farm, a 250-acre dairy farm off Route 926 in Kennett Square.
He was a member of the Pennsylvania Farmers Association and the London Grove Farmers Association. He was also a member of the Unionville Presbyterian Church and the Po-Mar-Lin Fire Company in Unionville.
He is survived by his wife, Anne Irwin Hicks; three sons, John L. Hicks Jr., Robert C. Hicks and William E. Hicks; two daughters, Sissy Hicks and Deborah Hicks; a brother; three sisters, and seven grandchildren.
A funeral was held Tuesday in Unionville Presbyterian Church. Burial was in London Grove Friends Cemetery.
