Notes for Rebecca M. FLING

Rebecca F. Frame of James Creek, formerly of Eagle Rebecca F. "Becky" Frame, 79, of James Creek and formerly of Eagle, passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at Hearthside Nursing Home in State College. She was the loving wife of the late Carroll "Cy" Frame, with whom she had celebrated 54 years of marriage at the time of his passing on February 12, 2010. Born on July 11, 1932 in Wawaset, Pocopson Township, she was the daughter of the late Edwin and Verda McAllister Fling. She graduated from Unionville High School, class of 1951. She attended West Chester Business School. She worked for Schram for a number of years. She was employed at Cappell Laboratories in Exton and for OV-For Publishing Co., Whitford. She worked for Downingtown Area Schools at Byers Road Elementary School. She worked for Kindercare in Downingtown from where she retired in 1992. She was a member of the St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Rt. 401, Chester Springs. Becky was an animal lover. She would take in and feed, for a number of years, any stray dog or cat that came around. She was a member of the Humane Society of America. Her hobbies were sewing, crocheting rugs, planting flowers and collecting coins and campaign buttons. She loved to travel with her husband in their motor home every year to the Woodsman's Carnival in Cherry Springs, Potter County. She was her husband's traveling partner. In the centennial year 1976, together with their little dog Judy, they traveled to Colorado and Yellowstone, Wyoming. They traveled to the Knoxville, Tennessee World's Fair in 1982, and in 1996 she traveled with her husband on his life long dream of driving the Alcan Highway to Anchorage, Alaska and the Canadian Rockies. She is survived by three brothers, Robert Fling of Homeville, Philip Fling of Kennett Square and Richard Fling of Kirkwood, Pa. She was preceded in death by one brother, Samuel Fling.
