Notes for Ruth Mary CROSSAN
Mrs. Ruth Mary Crossan Rissinger, age 90, of West Chester, PA, passed away on Monday, April 23, 2018. Ruth was born in West Grove, PA, on December 6, 1927, a daughter of the late Mark Bradley and Flora Longacre Crossan. She married Herman R. Rissinger on October 25, 1947 and he predeceased her on December 4, 2000. Ruth was an active member of the West Chester United Methodist Church. She was also a member of Tall Cedars of Lebanon. Surviving are: Two daughters: Doris R. Arabia of Dushore, PA and Shirl R. (Thomas) Howard of West Chester, PA; Six grandchildren: Karl “Rob” Nesbitt, Erin (Marc) Prosser, Matthew (Megan) Howard, Jason (Lauren) Howard, Victoria (Paul) McKeon and Derek Shank. She is also survived by 5 great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a daughter, Jennifer R. Shank on July 6, 2009 and by a son-in-law, Michael A. Arabia on April 13, 2018. A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, May 22, 2018, at 11:00 A.M. in the Green Mount Cemetery, 117 Westtown Road, West Chester, PA 19382 with her pastor, the Rev. Dr. Lauren B. Meiswinkel, officiating.
