Notes for Lloyd T. EASTBURN

Lloyd T. Eastburn of West Chester Lloyd T. Eastburn, 88, of West Chester, died Thursday, April 14, 2011, at the Pocopson Home. He was the husband of the late Reba Huber Eastburn. Born in West Chester, he was the son of the late Garfield T. Eastburn and the late Ethyel Scott Eastburn. For 22 years Lloyd was proud to have served in the U.S. Army during WWII, Korean War and the Vietnam War. After retiring from the Army in 1965 he worked at the U.S. Post Office as a carrier and clerk retiring in 1978. Lloyd was a former member of the Calvary Lutheran Church and a 1940 graduate of West Chester High School. He was a life member of the VFW Post 106, West Chester, American Legion Post 136 of Greenbelt, Md., NARFE and the Retired Army Enlisted Association. He is survived by his daughters, Marcia Taylor and her husband William, Bridgeton, N.J.; Mele Byrne and her husband William, Lyndell, grandsons, William T. Taylor and his wife Crystal, and Jonathan C. Taylor, and a great granddaughter, Caylen M. Taylor. Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Service, 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 20, 2011, at the DellaVecchia, Reilly, Smith & Boyd Funeral Home, Inc., 410 N. Church St., West Chester. Visitation will be held 10 to 11 a.m., Wednesday at the Funeral Home. Interment with Military Honors will be held at the Philadelphia Memorial Park, Frazer.
