Notes for Howard Twaddell Jr. PAINTER

Howard T. Painter Jr., age 78,, passed into the presence of the Lord on Friday morning at his residence following a l Pine Grove Townshipong battle with mesothelioma (asbestos related cancer).
Mr. Painter was born in Chester, on June 23, 1932, the son of the late Howard T. and Alice B. (Woolley) Painter.
He was the husband of Sara Ann "Sandy" Painter.
A graduate of Chester High School, he was a member of Media Presbyterian Church and since 1988, served the Lord at Christ Evangelical Free Church.
He served his country as a proud member of the U.S. Marine Corps from 1951 to 1954. He worked for Scott Paper, Wawa Dairies, DuPont, and Deep Water, N.J. until his retirement in 1987.
He is also survived by daughters Cynthia Painter-Carney (Joe) of Ridley Park, Pa. and Lee-Ann Painter-Forsythe (Calvin "Buzz") Cape Coral, Fla.; sons Howard T. "Scott" Painter III (Bonnie) Barnesville, PA and Gary Painter (Carol) Warner Robins, Ga. ; 8 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; sister Virginia Murphy (Ken) Willingboro, N.J. and their four children.
Howard was preceded in death by grandson Marc Plotts, USMC in 2010.
Service/visitation: A viewing for family and friends will be held on Tuesday morning from 10 a.m. to noon at Christ Evangelical Free Church, Strausstown. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will follow.
Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider a donation in Howard's memory to Christ Evangelical Free Church Building Fund, 8477 Rt. 183, Bethel, PA 19507.
Interment with military honors will be held at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
