Notes for Christopher Simon FRAZIER

Christopher Simon Frazier, Sr. Age 68, of Plymouth Meeting, PA died on April 26, 2011 at his home surrounded by his family, after a brave struggle with lung cancer. He was born in Manhattan, NY on November 17, 1942 to the late Benjamin West and Leila (Canby) Frazier. He was a graduate of Chestnut Hill Academy and attended the University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Frazier was past owner of Hilltop Tailor & Cleaners in Chestnut Hill, and a Controller at Eddington Thread Co. in Bensalem, PA and Marionette in Atlanta, GA. He was an avid gardener, a -passionate golfer and a member of Sunnybrook Golf Club for 46 years, a long-time fixture and chief raconteur at Sunnybrook's Men's Day events, Chris won several championships at the club and competed regularly in Golf Association of Philadelphia (GAP) tournaments throughout the region. He also captained Sunnybrook's teams for many years in the annual GAP Team Match competition each spring. He lamented that his one regret at Sunnybrook, although he had seven "holes in one", was that he never aced the elusive 17th hole. Mr. Frazier is survived by his 3 sons: Christopher Simon Frazier, Jr. (India) of Ambler, PA, Henry Holt Frazier (Kate) of Denver, CO, John Douglas Frazier (Rose) of Barto, PA, his daughter Moffat Canby Frazier of Brooklyn, NY, 6 grandchildren, 2 brothers and a sister, his first wife Moffat Welsh and his second wife Barbara Smith. Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Service on Friday, May 6, 2011 at 10:00 AM at St. Thomas' Church, 610 Church Road, Ft. Washington, PA. Interment will be Private. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Nature Conservancy (www.nature.org) or Chestnut Hill Academy (www.chestnuthillacademy.org).
