Notes for Lewis Fite GARNETT

Lewis F. Garnett, 90, of Coatesville died on Saturday, April 15, 2006 at his home.
He was the husband of the late Helen Mae Tennet Garnett, with whom he shared two years of marriage and the late Doris Nunemaker Garnett, with whom he shared 55 years of marriage.
Born in West Grove, he was the son of the late Lewis S. and Mary Fite Garnett.
He graduated in 1935 from Parkesburg High School.
In 1978, he retired from Lukens Steel after 38 years of service as a Tim Study Technician.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a member of Lukens Veterans Guild. He was also a life member of West End Fire Co. and was a member of Wagontown Union Chapel.
He was an avid baseball fan and played first base for Cy Lynch's Crescent Inn Ball Club after the war.
Surviving are a sister, Vivian Mock of coatesville; a brother, Carmin Garnett of Washington D.C. and many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death is a stepson, William Ellis; three sisters: Silva Coffroad, Isabel Garnett and Vera Thompson; and a brother, Samuel.
