Morrison C. Huston, 88, husband of Christine M. (Hearn) Huston of Chester Springs, died peacefully at home on Thursday evening, Feb. 14, 2008.

Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Aubrey and Helen L. (Coates) Huston.

He attended the Episcopal Academy, St. George's School and Princeton. Following naval service in World War II, Mr. Huston worked as textile marketing director for DuPont Nemours, retiring in 1982.

He served on boards of The Church Council for the Exceptional Person, Caron International, United Way of Chester County, Camphill Village Kimberton Hills, Green Valleys Association and French & Pickering Creeks Conservation Trust, and was a longtime member and past president of The Countrymen's Club.

In addition to his wife, Christine, Mr. Huston is survived by daughters, Evelyn Q., wife of Christopher H. Getman of Hamden, Conn., and Priscilla H. Huston of Kimberton; a son, Morrison C. Huston Jr., husband of Elizabeth C. Huston of Philadelphia; a stepson, Adam C. Tessier of Santa Rosa, Calif.; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial service at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 1, at Church of the Good Shepherd, Lancaster and Montrose avenues, Rosemont, PA 19010.

Interment will be private at St. David's churchyard, Radnor.
