Deceased Name: Horace A. Walton
Horace A. Walton, 84, of Cochranville, died on Friday December 31, 2004 at the Jennersville Regional Hospital. He was the husband of Hazel Jackson Walton with whom he shared 61 years of marriage. Born in Little Britian Twp. Lancaster Co., he was the son of the late Asa and Grace Reynolds Walton.
Horace was a Cochranville resident since 1951. He was a dairy farmer most of his life retiring in 1973. He was also employed by the former Carnation Co. and E.H. Keen & Son as a feed salesman. He belonged to the Cochranville United Methodist Church where he had served as trustee, was a past Master & 50 year member of the Skerrett Masonic Lodge #343 F&AM of Cochranville and was a life member of the Cochranville Fire Co.
He is survived, in addition to his wife, by three children, all of Cochranville; H. Leslie Walton and wife Bonnie, William J. Walton and wife Linda, Donna W., wife of Mark McCool and 8 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday January 4, 2005 at 11:00am from the Cochranville United Methodist Church, Church Road, in Cochranville with a viewing Monday evening January 3, from 7:00pm to 9:00pm at the Church and also Tuesday morning from 10:00am to the time of the service. A Masonic service will be held at the Church on Monday evening at 9:00pm conducted by the Skerrett Masonic Lodge #343 F&AM of Cochranville.
