Notes for Howard Kirk FETTERS
Howard "Howdy" Kirk Fetters, age 98 of Glenn Mills, PA., formerly of Upper Darby, PA., died Monday December 9, 2013 at Gilpin Hall Retirement Community in Wilmington, DE. He was the husband of the late Frances Graff Fetters with whom he shared 71 years of marriage.
Born in Philadelphia, PA., he was the son of the late Walter C. and the late Elma Kirk Fetters.
He was happiest when out of doors and that is reflected in his love of golf and the pleasure he found working in his garden.
He was a member of both the Kennett Square and Hershey's Mill Country Clubs. He was also a member of the "Fairway" Club of Philadelphia.
He was a member of the Kennett Koffee Klatch and a brother in the Cassia Mt. Horeb Masonic Lodge in Ardmore, PA.
He is survived by a son Howard Kirk Fetters Jr. and his wife Agnesann of Kennett Square; six grandchildren George, John, Suzanne, Sharon, Becky and Amy and nine great grandchildren. He was predeceased by two daughters Susan F. D'Ambrosio and Barbara G. Fetters.
You are invited to visit with Howdy's family from 10-11AM Saturday December 21, 2013 at the Kuzo & Grieco Funeral Home Inc. (610-444-4116) 250 W. State St. Kennett Square, PA 19348. A memorial service celebrating his life will follow at 11AM. Interment will be in Union Hill Cemetery.
