Notes for Christine ROBINSON

Christine Robinson Taylor, 94, died Tuesday, June 9, 2009, at her Kendal-at-Longwood home in Kennett Square, where she had lived since 1980.
She was the widow of William Downham Taylor.
Born near Tunkhannock, she was the daughter of the late Louis N. and Caroline Hadley Robinson.
She was a former resident of Swarthmore and from 1937 she lived at "Mytholme" near Coatesville.
She graduated from Emma Willard School and from Swarthmore College, having also attended Stanford University and Columbia University.
She was a member of the London Grove Meeting and of the Kendal Meeting of the Society of Friends.
She wrote Introduction of Quakerism for the Religious Education Committee of the Friends General Conference.
She had been a director of the Needlework Guild, a Den Mother for the Boy Scouts of America and president of the Visiting Nurse Association of Coatesville and of the Town & Country Garden Club.
She is survived by her children, Judith T. Uehlein, Michael D., Alice, Christopher A., and Andrew W.; and son-in-law, Carl, daughters-in-law Margaret, Lucha, and Linda. A sister, Alice R. Erb of Kendal-at-Longwood also survives. She leaves nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by four brothers, a daughter, and a grandson.
Burial will be at the family burying ground in North Eaton.
