Nether Providence-A 61-year-old caretaker collapsed and died Tuesday afternoon while cutting the grass with a power mower at Springhaven Club.
Pronounced dead on arrival at Riddle Memorial Hospital shortly after 1 p.m. was George Levis, 207 N. Maple Ave., Lansdowne.
Nether Providence Patrolman Robert Wagner was called to the country club and found Levis on the ground. Oxygen was administered and the Media ambulance took him to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead from an apparent heart attack.
Born in Clifton, he had been employed at the country club since 1954.
