Notes for William Franklin VERNON

William F. "Bing" Vernon, 90, of Honey Brook, passed away on Tuesday Dec. 23, 2008, at the Tel-Hai Retirement Community.
He was the husband of Grace Neff Vernon and the widower of his first wife, the late Mabel Neff Vernon who died in 2002.
Born in West Chester, Bill was the son of the late William F. Vernon Sr. and Caroline Kelly Vernon. He proudly served in the Army Air Corp. during World War II as a C-47 crew member in the European Theater. Mr. Vernon was employed by the Veterans Administration in Johnson City, Tenn., retiring in 1981. He was a member of the St. John's Episcopal Church in Concordville and the AARP.
He is survived, in addition to his wife, by two sons: William I. Vernon of Woodlyn, and Robert C. Vernon of Aaronsburg; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 27, at 11 a.m. at the St. John's Episcopal Church, 576 Concord Road, Concordville.
