Margaret A. "Peg" Watterson, 84, of Cochranville, passed away on Friday, Dec. 5, 2008, at the Neighborhood Hospice Center of West Chester.
She was the beloved wife of Francis R. Watterson, with whom she shared 63 years of marriage.
Born in Cochranville, she was the daughter of Leland and Anna Mary Martin Pyle.
A resident of Cochranville her entire life, she graduated from the Cochranville High School in 1943.
She was a member of the Russellville Grange #91 for more than 70 years.
She is survived, in addition to her husband, by three children: Becky J. Clendenin Jennings, wife of Ralph of Narvon; Jerry R. Watterson, husband of Marilyn of Holtwood; and Marty J. Watterson, wife of Diane of Lebanon. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth F. Watterson; and brother, Lewis Pyle.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 9, at 11 a.m. at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg, followed by interment in the Cochranville Methodist Cemetery.
Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing at the funeral home, which will be held on both Monday, Dec. 8, from 6 to 8 p.m. and again on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Neighborhood Hospice, 400 E. Marshall St., West Chester, PA 19380..
