Dorothy M. Sellers, 83, died July 13, 2007 in Central Montgomery Medical Center in Hatfield Twp. She had lived for many years in the Lansdale and Hatfield area and recently resided a short time at St. Mary Manor, Lansdale. She is survived by her husband and hero of 64 years, George L. Sellers.
Born in Erie she was a daughter of the late Joseph Henry and Sara Anna (Dibsdale) Boone. She grew up in Hilltown.
Mrs. Sellers began working as a secretary in the former Hatfield Elementary School about 1965 and later transferred to North Penn School District until retiring in 1985.
She enjoyed music, playing her guitar and singing. She and her husband also enjoyed a number of years sailboating on the Chesapeake and traveling in their motorhome in retirement.
In addition to her husband, George, surviving are three sons, Daniel G. Sellers and his wife, Charlotte Rosen and Robert C. Sellers and his wife, Linda, all of Franconia, Brian T. Sellers and his wife, Brenda of Hatfield; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one sister, Helen Gallew of Lansdale.
She was preceded in death by a son, Mark Sellers.
Relatives and friends are invited to call Tuesday, June 19 after 2 PM and attend her memorial service at 3 PM in the Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Ave., Lansdale. In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations in her name to the American Cancer Society, 700 Horizon Circle, Suite 201, Chalfont, PA 18914.
