Notes for Marian Louise MCKISSICK
Marian McKissick Schrader, formerly of West Chester Marian Louise (nee McKissick) Schrader, formerly of West Chester and Spartanburg, S.C., passed away July 16, 2015. She was a woman always willing to tell you her opinion, who made her own wedding dress, and never met a dog she didn’t like. She turned a closet full of books into a full-fledged library at East Bradford Elem. School in West Chester, Pa, serving as a library aide for many years. She was a deacon and Sunday school teacher at the Baptist Church in West Chester, prior to moving to Spartanburg. She was preceded in death by parents, Horace and Elizabeth (Cottingham) McKissick; husband, Robert Vernon Schrader; brother “Bud” McKissick; and grandsons, Ben Schrader and Kevin Waters. She is survived by daughter, Ellen (Gary) Stutts of Durham, N.C.; son, James (Linda) Schrader of Inman, S.C.; grandchildren, Rachel (Steve) Greer, Zack and Drew Stutts, Christina Schrader, Aimee (Scott) Turner and Seth Waters; great-grandchildren, Jimmy, Hannah, Judah, Elise, Evan and Emily; niece, Linda (David) Cupp; nephews Mark McKissick and John Paul Schrader; as well as many friends. A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 25, at Grace Way Church, Boiling Springs, S.C.
