Notes for Thomas Cope WORTH

Tom Worth, 66, of West Chester, died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2007, at his home.
He was the husband of Connie Geist Worth, with whom he shared 39 years of marriage.
Born in West Chester, he was the son of the late Ethel Cope and William Penn Worth II.
He was raised in West Chester, graduating from the George School, Dean Junior College, Boston University and West Chester University, where he earned a master’s degree.
He was a teacher for 37 years; he taught at Friends Central School and The Haverford School.
He enjoyed acting, storytelling, reading, teaching children, traveling and hiking in Wyoming.
He was a spiritual man and the things that meant the most to him were his wife, children, and grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Tom is survived by his daughters, Jennifer Worth Mesén of West Grove and Erin Worth Presánt of Downingtown; five grandchildren, Jose J., Thomas A. and Brandon W. Mesén, and Gabe G. and Shannon C. Presánt; and three brothers, William Penn Worth III of West Chester, John Townsend Worth of Itea, Greece, and Stephen Merritt Worth of Ashfield, Mass.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 16, at the Church of the Loving Shepherd, 1066 S. New St., West Chester.
Interment will be private in the Birmingham-Lafayette Cemetery.
