I Jesse Canby of the township of Goshen in the County of Chester in the Province of Pennsylvania Being weak in Body but through Mercy of sound Mind and Memory calling to mind the Uncertainly of time here and well knowing it is Appointed for all men once to die Do Therefore for the Settling of my Outward affairs make and ordain this my Last will and Testament in Manner and form following that is to say first and Principally after Recommending my soul into the hands of him that gave it and my body to be decently buryed my will is that my just debts and Funeral Charges be fully Paid and Satisfied by my Executrix hereafter named Item I give and bequeath to unto my beloved wife Lydia Canby all and Singular my Personal Estate of What kind Soever after my Debts and Expenses as aforesaid are fully paid and satisfied and also the procession use and profits of my Plantation whereupon I now Dwell. Until my Youngest Daughter Jane Arrives at the age of eighteen Years She bringing up and Schooling my Children for the use thereof the Personnel estate to be at her own Disposal in Lieu of Dower and the use of the Plantation and Profits thereof for the bringing up of the Children and further my will is that when my youngest Daughter Shall Arrive at the age Of Eighteen Years that then my land Plantation be sold and the Money Arising there from to be divided in ten equal shares two Whereof I give and Bequeath to my wife Lydia and the other Eight to be equally divided between my eight daughters wit , Sarah, Hannah, Rachel, Elizabeth, Lydia, Rebechah, Esther and Jane, Share and Share alike. To be whole and sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament Giving Granting my Executrix full Power and Authority to execute the same fully hereby revoking and Disannulling all other and former Wills by me hereto made Ratifying and confirming this only to be my last will and testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this Eleventh day of June in the Year of our Lord One Thousand seven hundred and eighty 1780 Jesse Canby Wit: William Johnson, James Jefferies.
