Notes for Nancy Elizabeth GARDNER
Nancy G. Huston, 87, of Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania and Delray Beach, Florida, died Tuesday, February 12, 2002 at her home in Delray Beach. She was the wife of Charles L.Huston, Jr. who preceded her in death in 1982. Born in Middletown, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Peggy Ames and Colin Gardner, Jr. She attended the Westover School in Middlebury, Conn. She was a member of The Church of the Redeemer in Bryn Mawr and St. Paul's Episcopal in Delray Beach, Florida. An avid golfer, she was a member of Gulf Mills and Merion Golf Clubs, Merion Cricket Club, and The Acorn Club in Pennsylvania. She was a member of Gulf Stream Golf Club, The Little Club, St. Andrews, Ocean Club of Florida, Gulf Stream Bath and Tennis Club, and Delray Beach Yacht Club in Florida. She was a member of Nantucket Yacht Club, Sankaty Head Golf and Beach Club on Nantucket.
She is survived by a son Charles L. "Skip" Huston III of Chester Springs; two daughters: Nancy Huston Hansen of Malvern and Elinor Huston Lashley of Williamsburg, Virginia; two brothers: Ames Gardner of Delray, Florida and Stephen V. Gardner of Boca Grande, Florida; a sister Eugenia Millan of Middletown, Ohio; twelve grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother Colin Gardner, III.
A memorial service will be held at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 188 Swinton Ave., Delray Beach on Friday, Feb. 1 5, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. Private interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Coatesville, PA.
