Notes for Howard Francis PENNOCK

Howard F. Pennock Sr. Howard Francis Pennock Sr. of Southampton passed peacefully on Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2012 at his home. He was 82.
Francis was born and raised in Mt. Holly, the son of the late Theodore and Helen (Shumard) Pennock. He was a lifelong Mt. Holly resident until moving to Leisuretowne in Southampton.
He was a plumber by trade, starting his career with Elmer Grover Plumbing in Mt. Holly.
He was a lifelong member of the Union Fire Co., serving as Chief Engineer and a Trustee. He served as Chief from 1981 to 1983. He was also a member of the Burlington County Chief's Association, the Mt. Holly Firemen's Association, and New Jersey Exempt Firemens' Association.
He was honored for 14 years of outstanding service as Chief Engineer and in 1974 he received the 'Volunteer Fireman of the Year' award from the Schaefer Brewing Co. At the end of his career he retired as a plumber for Burlington County.
Francis was preceded in death by his wife, Alberta V. (Stevens) Pennock, his son, Theodore 'Teddy' Pennock and his siblings, Emma, Joseph, Harold, Ed, Lawrence, and Pete.
Francis is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy (Pearsall) Pennock of Southampton, his daughter, Emma (Tom) Ackrivo of Southampton, his son, Howard (Althea) Pennock of Lumberton, his step-children: Margie Donaido (Joe) of Waretown; Kathy Wilkins (Nate) of Ship Bottom, Garry Pearsall (Meg Waterhouse) of Ewing, and Wayne Pearsall (Sue) of Toms River.
He is also survived by grandchildren: Stephanie Denato (Mark), Michael Ruble (Jackie Kulig), Althea McElwee, Ashlee Miles (Chris); and step-grandchildren: Joe Miller (Jennifer), Chris Pearsall (Debbie), Brendon Pearsall (Alicia Calispo), Stacy Salazar and Marlie Salazar.
He is also survived by his great-granddaughters, Mia and Ava Denato, Dakota McIlwee, great-grandsons, Landon and CJ Miles, and step-great-granddaughter, Kayla Pearsall. He is also survived by numerous relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, Oct. 22 at 11 a.m. at the Perinchief Chapels, 438 High Street, Mount Holly. Interment will be at Mt. Holly Cemetery.
