Edward Townsend Stotesbury (1849-1938) banker, entered Drexel & Co. at age 17 as a clerk, made a partner in 1883, also of J. P. Morgan; leading Philadelphia financier, major American investment banker, pursued active social life in palation Whitemarsh Hall (Chestnut Hill), died at work at age 90.
