Notes for Thomas WHARTON
Thomas Wharton sometimes refered to as senior to distinguish him from his nephew, who ultimately became President of Pennsylvania during the revolution was, born in Philadelphia Aft. 1696.
On September 12, 1728, he married Mary Curry, at Christ Church in Philadelphia. Mary's parents are unknown and the couple had no children. In Thomas's will proved 1730 he left his entire estate to his wife. The abstract of will lists no children and shows brothers John, and Joseph ,sisters Mary and Rachel still alive.
Mary went on to marry Richard Grafton in 1736.
