Notes for Daniel Dorey STILTZ

Daniel D. Stiltz attended Williamsport Dickinson Seminary and trained to become a civil engineer. Sometime between 1880 and 1900, Daniel D. Stiltz left Pennsylvania for California. According to his burial record, he was "killed in an explosion" in Madera County, California. He may have been a civil engineer working for a railroad. There is no evidence that he married.

His middle name, "Dorey," honors his grandmother Lucy (Doré) Marshall's maiden name.
