Notes for Charles BIDDLE

CHARLES BIDDLE, of Philadelphia; b. there 24th December, 1745; d. there 4th April, 1821; January, 1776, joined Captain COWPERTHWAIT'S Company of the Quaker Light Infantry; Vice-President, Supreme Executive Council of Pennsylvania for two years, when Benjamin FRANKLIN was President; m. 25th November, 1778, at Beaufort, South Carolina, Hannah SHEPARD.

Died in Philadelphia, on the 4th alt., Charles Biddle, esq., aged 76 years. (They Lycoming Gazette, Williamsport, Pennsylvania, May 1, 1821)
